Julie, VOA

VETERINARY OFFICE ASSISTANT

Born and raised in Vancouver, Julie moved back to Vancouver in 2015 since living in Calgary with her partner for a number of years.

After spending over 6 years in customer service she finally decided to peruse her passion to work with animals and has since graduated from the Veterinary Office Assistant program at Granville College.

She has always had animals growing up in her life. And now her and her boyfriend have two dogs; Oakley and Nizmo, and two cats; Griffen and Tigger.  They love to spend time with them outdoors and try to head out into BC's beautiful backyard when not working. They also like spending time at Julie's parents property outside of Pemberton biking, swimming, and boating.  They are both happy to be back in BC.

Krysten, VOA

VETERINARY OFFICE ASSISTANT

Originally from Maple Ridge, B.C Krysten has been living in Vancouver since 2011 working as a Theatre Technician. Finally realizing that her true passion was for animals she went back to Douglas College for a second time. She graduated from the VOA program in 2018 and has loved every second of working in the veterinary industry.

She lives in East Vancouver with her partner Graham and her cat Bella. She hopes to soon get a dog to join her on hikes and camping adventures.

Maria, VOA

VETERINARY OFFICE ASSISTANT

Maria was born in Colombia, but grew up in Panama. She always knew that she wanted to work with animals.  About 3 years ago, Maria moved to Canada and obtained her VOA degree at Granville College 2018.  Further wanting to learn more about animals, she hopes to continue her studies to one day become an RVT or a DVM.

During her spare time, Maria loves to play videogames, draw and cuddle with her dog. Her biggest dream is to be a DVM and volunteer in a wildlife rescue and care program in Africa.
